I want to go on the world race because I want to grow more in my relationship and my faith in God as well as grow in the gifts God has given me. I believe God has called me to missions for a long time. I definitely have a heart for missions and to help those in need. The world race has been on my heart for eight years ever since I attended the Urbana 12 student missions conference in St Louis, Missouri in 2012. I was attending Joliet Junior College at the time and involved in the Intervarsity Christian fellowship where we had the great opportunity to go to the conference to learn more about our call to missions. During the conference I learned so much about stepping out in faith and to go and make disciples. I was really glad to receive information about the world race, since that day my passion has grown for the world race. After waiting patiently for eight years, God has spoken to me saying that the time is now to go. During those eight years I have grown deeper with the Lord, built a firmer foundation and a stronger relationship with him.

I also really want to go on the World Race because I want to share God’s love, reach out to people that haven’t heard the gospel and to serve and partner with ministries that will make an impact in so many lives. I want to step out of my comfort zone, grow more in my faith and see God move in different countries I travel to. There is a lot of hurt and brokenness in our world and my passion is to do anything I can to bring hope and peace. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to go out into the nations, to serve and be the light in the world.
