Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog! My name is Talaya Coleman and I’m 28 years old. I graduated nursing school from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016. I am working as a Center Medical Specialist at Talecris Plasma Resources. In my free time I love to serve at my local food pantry, exercise, travel, learn new languages and hangout with friends and family. Also at church I currently serve as a co-leader with my twin sister Brittany for our prophetic dance small group. In our group our desire is to dance with the Holy Spirit, worship and grow closer to God. I’m also so blessed to have my twin sister going on the world race as well.

I have a heart for missions, love to serve others and bring hope to people. I enjoy experiencing and learning about different cultures and meeting new people from around the world. I am so grateful that I had opportunities in the past to go on short term medical mission trips to Panama, Cote D’Ivoire and the Comoros Islands. On these mission’s trips we would set up clinics in villages and provide health education, triage, doctor consultations, wound care treatments and pass out reading glasses and medications to people in need. It was an amazing time to serve in these villages to bring hope and to share God’s love.

I am very excited to have this opportunity to go on the world race to serve alongside other believers and to partner with many ministries to share the love of God. I am so blessed that I’ll have the opportunity to reach the unreached and to go all in for Jesus and serve in ways I can build God's Kingdom and see his presence shine through the ministries I will serve.
